Being jiwang...

Last night was extra special. Possibly because it was unexpected. My parents ditched me for dinner and he readily agreed to meet at one of our usual haunts. Possibly too because he agreed to Japanese, which he can’t stand :-p So he ordered something safe – tempura, while I happily enjoyed my sushi. Then we had one of the best conversations we’ve had in a long time for 2 whole hours. Talking about anything and everything. Making each other laugh. And as always he listened to my old stories, which he remembers, without interrupting even once. And repeated his old stories which I, of course, had forgotten.
